The Hurricane Portal features doors on both sides of the portal for fast, accurate reading of items in laundry carts that won’t disrupt operational processes, all in a compact size to maximize floor space flexibility.
Automated reading eliminates read rates that can be affected by employee technique. The laundry cart is placed in the portal, the operator selects the button to close the door, reading begins, and the door opens when reading is complete. A red indicator light illuminates during reading. When reading is complete, the light turns green. The double-door design allows for the flow of goods to pass through the portal and optimize the process, and can be placed over a scale. Positek RFID’s connect software communicates with third-party software packages as well as the Positek RFID Software suite. The Hurricane Portal can be used for both soiled and clean textiles as well as assignment of RFID to new textiles.

Hurricane Portal
The Hurricane Portal is designed for rugged use and accommodates a wide variety of laundry cart shapes and sizes. The pass-through design optimizes process flows while isolating reading to inside the portal. The Hurricane Portal can accurately read 2,000 plus tagged items within 10 seconds.
